Only two of the other 11 conference teams hold lifetime advantage over the Huskers. Husker followers would guess the Sooners would be one of the two. The Huskers-Sooners series is close, but the Sooners do hold a 40-37-3 lifetime edge against the Huskers. The Texas Longhorns claim a 5-4 advantage over the Huskers. Had not a Lord pass went awry in the closing moments of this year's game, the Huskers could claim a 5-4 edge in the series. Who do the Huskers own? The Huskers have not lost to Texas Tech, although the teams have only played seven times. The Huskers have really owned the Oklahoma State Cowboys. The Husker loss to the Cowboys this year was only the third in 39 football contests. The Huskers also have great records against three teams they have played from 87 to 101 times. The Huskers have a (78-13-2) record against Iowa State, (71-13-3) Kansas State, and (82-16-3) Kansas.
