GOOD THINGS
In this most unusual Husker season, some good things about the whole thing…

-Imagine my surprise when I turned on ESPN Classic today (10-20-02) and got to see the second half of the '71 NU-OU game. Made my day. We'll all be fine.

-KSU and ISU losing is better for Nebraska than if they would have won. (Although it doesn't say much for the Big 12 North.)

-Oklahoma St. has to spend money on new goal posts after fans ripped them down. This financial setback will surely hurt the Cowboys in the long run. Ha. Ha.

-A struggling season right now is not the end of Husker football. It is comforting to know that Nebraska is a young team and has the potential for great things next season. We’ve never been in a situation where we could potentially be coming off a losing season with no bowl game. I think the build-up to the coming ‘03 season will be incredible and fun to watch. I say we see the return of Big Red as we know it.

-You no longer have to listen to that silly little voice in your head. You know, the one Husker fans hear every now and then over the years. The little voice that told you some day Nebraska will lose 5 games in a season. Hasn’t happened yet this season, but easily could. Well, that little voice is retired. That time is here. We’re living it and there’s nowhere to go but up.

-‘Lil Red will not have a major bowl game to attend so with all the free time he plans to audition for the next installment of “American Idol”.

We welcome your good things about the whole thing.
