WHITE'S A FRIGHT FOR BLACKSHIRTS
OU's Jason White passes over NU defense in 30-3 win over Huskers

Nebraska lost big to Oklahoma Saturday night, but darn it if they're not still in Big 12 North title contention.
The Sooners downed the Huskers 30-3 in a masterful display of how a quarterback and his receivers can dominate a struggling team. The Sooners clicked on all cylinders. OU quarterback Jason White's passing was near perfect. He completed 29 of 35 passes for 383 yards. The Blackshirts saw White all night.
Nebraska fans didn't have much to cheer about in the game. Perhaps at the end of the first quarter, when the score read OU 3 NU 0, a few Husker fans could be heard saying "well, at least it's not 40-0".
The Huskers seemed to have a good thing going on its first possesion of the game after an OU field goal on its first possession, but NU was stopped on 3rd down, didn't go for the 4th down, then OU stepped it up and turned out the lights on Big Red.
White light can show so much. And what it showed in Norman Saturday night is that Nebraska is not in the same league as Oklahoma. The Sooners are having a terrific season and our Big Red hats are off to them.
Nebraska running back Cory Ross was the bright spot for the Huskers, rushing 30 times for 130 yards against the Sooners.
Nebraska drops to 5-5 (3-4). Oklahoma improves to 10-0, (7-0). Still, if Nebraska beats Colorado on the day after Thanksgiving, and Iowa State loses its two remaining games (to Kansas State and Missouri), the Huskers will be lining up against the Sooners once again in Kansas City in the Big 12 championship game.
Yikes.
There are other scenarios where the Huskers come out on top of the North with a win over CU as well, but we won't get into them now. Just keep in mind that Kansas State and Kansas are the only two Big 12 North schools that have been eliminated from the North title race.
That is if any team wants the North title. It's a title that will surely bring on misery in just a few short weeks in Kansas City.
Stranger things have happened. But a lot has to happen between now and then. Also keep in mind that if Nebraska loses to Colorado in Lincoln, they will be staying home from a bowl game, with a losing season record to boot.
So much to be decided. Let's bounce back vs. the Buffs!
