ON THE HUSKER MENU: KANSAS JAYHAWKS
Huskers hope to get big homecoming win against basement-dwelling Kansas

The Nebraska football team returns to Memorial Stadium Saturday afternoon for a major test.
No, the Kansas Jayhawks (2-8, 0-6) are more than likely not that major test.
The major test for Nebraska (6-4, 2-3) will be whether or not they can pick themselves up and dust
themselves off after one of the most heartbreaking losses in recent Big Red memory. The team is 6-4
with huge challenges at Kansas State and at home against Colorado still to come.
The Texas loss was not great for the Huskers, but it did prove they can easily compete with and come back
against some of the best talent in the nation. Kansas is no Texas, so obviously the Huskers should be able to
put together a win against the lowly Jayhawks.
That is if the Huskers can put Texas out of their minds and get down to business.
The Jayhawks are basement-dwellers in the Big 12 south. They've yet to win a game in the conference. KU lost to
Kansas State last weekend 64-0. So coming into Lincoln to steal away a victory from a Nebraska team with
4 losses is a very tall order for a team that seems to be in more disarray than Nebraska.
The Huskers need a positive performance, perhaps even a blowout, to set the stage for a showdown with Kansas State
in Manhattan. Even though NU has no chance to win the North title, the Huskers have the potential to spoil Houston travel plans for both Wildcat and Buffalo fans.
Without a victory at home against Kansas, any upset in Manhattan would be a pipe dream at best.
Kickoff for the Nebraska- Kansas game is scheduled for 12:30 PM Central. It is homecoming at Nebraska. The game will not be televised, however
you can find a link to live audio below.
