AIMING HIGH AT AMES
Nebraska-Iowa State game important in Big 12 North outlook
By Jim D. Berryman
MissingNebraska.com
The Huskers tangle with the Cyclones of Iowa State this Saturday in Ames, where one thing is certain: A Big 12 North team will win.
It’s been a tough year for the Big 12 North in games vs. opponents from the Big 12 South. If it wasn’t for Baylor, the north would have a big fat goose egg under its win column vs. South teams.
Even so, a win keeps Nebraska in a prime position to win the North. Stunning considering the Huskers have had a tough season by Big Red standards. The rest of the division is down too, so may as well enjoy that fact in a rebuilding NU year.
Nebraska is 5-3 (3-2) entering the game. Iowa State is 4-4, (2-3).
The game kicks off at 1 p.m. central and it will not be televised. You can find live audio coverage on Pinnacle Sports Radio Network affiliates and on huskers.com.
