BCS Poll Released: OU and NU are nation’s BCS elite.

It’s official. Saturday’s game between Oklahoma and Nebraska will match the top two teams in the country, according the first BCS Poll of the season released Monday. The Sooners are the top team in the poll, the Huskers are number 2, followed by UCLA at 3 and Miami, ranked number 1 in the AP and USA Today-ESPN polls, coming in at number 4. Virginia Tech wraps up the Top 5, with Big 12 rival Texas at number 6.
It’s not the first time the BCS poll has come up with a different number 1 than the AP and USA Today/ESPN polls. And, it probably won’t be the last. Let the debate begin. So many scenarios to talk about, so little time. Of course, the first big game is already Saturday matching the top two teams. Both Oklahoma and Nebraska control their destinies. It’s starting to get veeerrry interesting indeed.
