BOUNCE BACK OR BE BOUNCED
Huskers look to rebound vs. Baylor, keep Big 12 North title hopes alive
By Jim D. Berryman

With Baylor coming to Lincoln this Saturday, usually the Nebraska Cornhuskers would be able to breathe easy, perhaps look ahead a bit to a tougher opponent down the road.
Instead, the downtrodden Huskers will simply be looking for a victory.
That after a shocking and embarrassing 70-10 loss at Texas Tech last week. It’s anybody’s guess as to what will happen on the field this Saturday.
Usually, the Huskers would come into the game fighting mad after being humiliated the previous week. Big Red would go on to stomp the lowly Bears, then cruise through the rest of the season.
These aren't those Huskers.
Nebraska is 3-2 (1-1) after suffering its worse loss in school history. Baylor is 2-3 (0-2), coming off a 30-10 home loss to Missouri. The Bears are usually the doormat of the Big 12, so a home loss to the Bears by NU would perhaps be even more shocking than what happened in Lubbock last week.
At the same time, Nebraska coach Bill Callahan is still upbeat about the Huskers and the change in offense he implemented upon taking over the head coaching job. He plans to stick with it…at least this Saturday. Callahan said in press reports before the Texas Tech game that the Huskers were very close to having a breakout game.
The only breakout performance seen on the field in Lubbock last Saturday night was by the Texas Tech Red Raiders.
The Huskers will more than likely get back on track, however one could argue that with the exception of the first half of the first game of the season vs. Western Illinois, Nebraska has never really been on track all season.
How do you get back onto a track you've never been on?
That's the burning question sweeping the Nebraska prairie this week.
Still, despite last week's disappointment, the team playing in Lincoln against Baylor this Saturday still wears the legendary "N" on its helmets, and should be able to win the game, considering the competition.
The game kicks off at 1:00 p.m. central and will not be televised. There is live audio coverage of the game on the Pinnacle Radio Network and on huskers.com.
