HURDLES ON THE HORIZON.
Half way through season, Huskers are cruising, but end of season schedule is bruising.

The Nebraska Cornhuskers have for the most part cruised through the first half of the season and are a perfect 6-0 going into Saturday’s game with Baylor. But on the horizon is a bruising wrap-up to the season. Just ask Kansas State. The Wildcats have lost two straight games, to Oklahoma, and last week at home against Colorado. Those two teams are on the Husker menu too before dessert can be served. Dessert being a spot in the Big 12 Championship game in Dallas and a possible trip to the Rose Bowl for the National Championship. After Baylor, the Huskers host Texas Tech at home, then comes the showdown with the Sooners on October 27th in Lincoln. After that, Nebraska travels to Kansas on November 3rd, and then K-State comes to Lincoln on November 10th. After that nightmare of a game last year in the ice and snow in Manhattan, KS, the Huskers will be looking to settle the score against the Wildcats. And who can forget Colorado. No matter what the Buffs’ record is, lately the NU-CU match-ups have been close…very close. You’ll remember that wild finish last year in Lincoln, in which the Huskers were almost lucky to escape with a win. If Nebraska would happen to make it through the regular season unscathed, there’s a strong possibility that they could play Oklahoma again in the Big 12 Championship game on December 1st in Dallas. Oh my. So many things to look forward to this season. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. What does Coach Solich think about the season so far? Full Story from AP.
