October 10, 2004 TECH TORNADO FLATTENS NU Turnover-happy Huskers self-destruct, Texas Tech dazzles, in 70-10 thrashing of Nebraska By Jim D. Berryman MissingNebraska.com The Nebraska Cornhuskers were trounced by Texas Tech in shocking fashion Saturday night in Lubbock. Final score: Red Raiders 70 Huskers 10. The Huskers have sunk about as low as they can go. We wondered what would happen if Nebraska turned the football over against a better team than in games past, and we found out in a major way. Not pretty at all. So, the big question will be, can Nebraska rebound from such an embarrassing loss and upset some teams here and there over the course of the rest of the schedule, or will Nebraska simply roll over and let the rest of the season rush over them? Only time will tell. Next up for Nebraska is Baylor in Lincoln. The game kicks off at about 1:00 p.m. central and it will not be televised.
