It will be interesting to see how
the Nebraska Cornhuskers respond to the shellacking received from
the USC Trojans last weekend.
Ball State comes to town Saturday, and based on previews of the
game, the Huskers shouldn't take the Cardinals lightly.
Perhaps a couple pads-on workouts are in order for Big Red this
week.
Nebraska is 2-1 and ranked nos. 22 and 24 in major polls. Ball State
is unranked, but is also 2-1. The Cardinals lost their opener to
Miami (Ohio) by one point, then went on to win big at Eastern
Michigan, and then won a thriller at Navy last Saturday.
Will the sting of Nebraska's embarrassing loss to the Trojans be a
major motivator, producing a big win for the Huskers over Ball
State?
Or will the sting of the loss allow the Cardinals to give the
Huskers a surprise sting?
Or will the game be a close one, that comes down to the final
minutes?
Tune in and find out! That is if you don't mind shelling out $29.95
for pay-per-view through Fox Sports Net. The game will not be on
regular television. Check your local cable or satellite listings to
see if the game is available in your area.
Kickoff is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. central time from Memorial
Stadium.
Also, tune in to find out if Ball State alum David Letterman shows
up! He's been invited to the game by the Nebraska Sports
Information Office on Huskers.com, with a
Top 10 list from Randy York on why Letterman should come to the
Nebraska-Ball State game. Letterman is not confirmed to be
attending the game.
The time for the Huskers to get back on track is Saturday. Let's Go,
Big Red!
