HUSKERS PASS TEST
Nebraska's Dailey dazzles early in 56-17 rout of Western Illinois

Nebraska's high-flying offense soared to a stunning debut Saturday night in a 56-17 thrashing of Western Illinois.
Nebraska quarterback Joe Dailey passed for four touchdowns and ran for two more in his starting debut as a Cornhusker.
But things turned a bit sour in the second half for the Huskers, as turnovers became a problem. The Huskers racked up 6 turnovers, a number of which were interceptions thrown by Dailey.
So a first test is "passed" by Big Red with flying colors, but there's much more work to be done. Obviously committing a huge number of turnovers against a better opponent would not have the same results.
I was able to hear parts of the game online and will let the writers who saw the game do the talking.
For now, Nebraska is 1-0 with Southern Miss knocking on the door for a September 11 game at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln. Kickoff is scheduled for 11 am central time.
Let's hope the Big Red air express keeps flyin' high!
