ON THE HUSKER MENU: UTAH ST. AGGIES
Nebraska offense minus Thunder looks to get on track vs. Utah St.

If Saturday Night Live's Church Lady were to sum up the Husker season the best she could, “Well, isn’t that SPESHIAL” would tend to sum things up about right.

Nebraska’s special teams have been the biggest story of the season so far. They brought down 3 punts like a cat swats a moth out of the air and into its paws. But cats can’t score touchdowns. The Husker special teams players can. They blocked Arizona State punts and field goals as well.

Led by senior DeJuan Groce, the Huskers special teams have punched life into the Huskers, who at times have appeared lackluster on offense this season. Groce has become somewhat of a celebrity in an era when Husker fans are seeking a new one.

On the Husker menu, the Utah State Aggies. The team is coming off a loss to in-state rival Utah. They lost big 23-3. The Aggies of course must be looked out for like any opponent, however it shouldn’t be much trouble for the Huskers.

Nebraska I-back Thunder Collins will miss the game vs. Utah State it was announced Wednesday. In addition, Coach Frank Solich said Collins’ suspension continues through the Penn State and Iowa State games as well.

Speaking of State College and Ames, those two road trips will undoubtedly be on the minds of the Huskers. Even though Utah State had only 9 first downs in the entire game against Utah, focusing on the task at hand is the only way to continue through the college football season successfully. The Huskers know that.

Once again, the game will not be broadcast on television. However, if you are interested in the live audio and video feeds available for the Utah State game, check in at MissingNebraska.com on game day for links to find the game.

And once again the game will be played under the harvest moon in Nebraska. Ok, I have no idea if it is really a Harvest Moon, it just sounds good. Kickoff is 6 p.m. CST. On beautiful September evenings in Lincoln, there really is nothing like attending a Big Red game at Memorial Stadium.

It will be Nebraska’s 250th consecutive sellout at Memorial Stadium. Think back to how many of those 250 sellouts you’ve been to. I’m trying to come up with my number. I don’t think it will go past 20.

The Husker offense looks to smooth out the rough edges that have been showing in the first two outings of the season. Utah State should be a good warm-up for Penn State.
